I love writing, and try to do it to the best of my ability. I don’t tend to love things I write, though. Ever.
A few months ago I submitted a story to Glimmer Train. It’s the second story I’ve submitted anywhere, and it was a finalist in the Very Short Fiction competition. I know it doesn’t mean much to be a finalist, but I’m kind of excited and a little bit encouraged.
One of the main hurdles for me with writing is the idea of submitting something I don’t think is just right. However, I know that nothing will ever be just right, so I’m working on submitting more.
