After this post! I saw my Infectious Disease Specialist today (basically the doctor to see if you have something weird, like Valley Fever. They also treat most AIDS patients.), who gave me a prescription for a new drug, Posaconazole, which is NOT the scary drug. That doesn’t mean the scary drug is off the table, but it does mean that I have something else to try, and if this works, then I won’t need the scary drug. So, basically, a month of waiting and seeing. Uncertainty is really hard for me! Maybe that is to be the great lesson of my life… living with uncertainty.
I’m still not 100%, but I have gotten my voice back a bit and am doing okay. Thanks for all the kind thoughts and words and messages.

I just entered this blog, I’m not sure of what has been discussed here, but I have Vlley Fever also. I was hopitalized for 1mo, 17days, they gave me the Anfiterrible ( Amphotericin B) it is used in very extreme cases. The news channel 12 & 5 in arizona did a interview with me on Valley Fever, they talked to my Dr. (Dr. Harmeet GIll) he stated that I was one of the worse cases in arizona that had lived. I finally got better but I have to take the fluconazole (generic for Diflucan) I have to take 400mg per day and I take it at night, have you ever been on this drug? It does not cure the fungus but it controlles it. Now I face the problem of not haveing health insurance to help pay for the drug and it is very expensive, but I keep researching everyday trying to come up with a solution. Anyway keep your head up, keep in your mind that YOU are going to control the disease, not the DISEASE controlling you. ALway, Always keep a good perspective about things, some times it is very hard to do, but we cannot let our guard down not even for a split second. Take care amd may God bless.
